my christmas break

My  christmas vacation was great. I got so many amzing things.  My favorite part though was when my whole family came over and we had christmas dinner.  Three days later we went to winter place and rode down huge icy hills. One even makes you go at least three feet in the air. My whole family went to this too. It was fun until you almost colapse with exostion.

adding a scene

Adding a scene was difficult. I had to look up multiple codes and watch a video about three times. It also took a while to figure out way my scenes weren't working and fix it. In the end all I had to do was create a new scene and copy and paste the scene that i needed. Then all I had to do was add two codes. The first one helped you go from one sceen to the next but you had know control over it. The last code though fixed all of that you just put the code stop(); and that helps stop on the scene instead of blinking back and forth.

This is my video where I tell about my game. I tell how I decided which social issue to use. I also tell how I decided my math concept.

snow days

Over the snow days I worked a little on the questions about my scenes. It's a long process and there's tons of  questions per scene. The coding takes a little while to because I want to make sure it just right. I still have a lot of scenes to go though. Snow days are hard on globaloria because  without the school computers it's hard to do anything with flash. I hope we don't have many more snow days because i'm behind on work as it is.

My game so far

So far my game is doing good. I'm already on my eleventh scene. Only about twenty more to go. My game doesn't have motion yet but i'm getting there. In my game so far I have put a maze and three or four questions. I'm almost to the hospital scene were I heal the dog. The characters are hard to make and require alot of detail. As I just figered out.Easpecially the vet .I have uploaded all my scenes so far on my projects page incase you want to check it out.

my thanksgiving traditions

My family Thanksgiving tradition has alot to do with family. We usually have three differant Thanksgivings. We go to my grandpa's then we go to my great grandfathers and last of all my other grandparents. Since we go alot of places we usually have two days of Thanksgiving. After we eat we all go play games like football. Then we come in for dessert. Last of all we travel four hours back to our house.

planning my game

On my team I do everything myself. I find the codes and make the scenes and everything else. I am the only one on my team. It is very easy to decide what i'm going to do because there is noone to argue with my decisions. I get to pick what I want the game to do and how I want it to do it. It also makes ot easier to work bacause you don't have the erg to talk to someone else instead of working.

paper prototype

My paper prototype was very fun to make. It gave me the channce to jot down all my ideas of the game. It took four days to complete. Each scene of my game had to be on a seperate sheet of paper so it took a while. In all I had thirty sheets. We had to color everything. When we had to video tape it was hard to explain everything. My video took about two to three minutes. Getting taped and knowing that alot of people are going to see it is kind of imbarrasing. Now all I have to do is upload the video onto my blog and wiki. It take awhile but eventually I will figure out how. Wish me luck.

My final pictures on flash is done below. I finally got it done. That was probley the hardest thing I've ever done. I hope learning all those codes pays off. I'm almost possitive they will though. I can't wait to start my game. This is going to be fun after all.

Mini Game

The mini game is extremely frusterating. We have worked on it for 5 days and I still haven't gotten anywhere. I am definately not going to do good on this game we have to do. It makes you want to go insain. So far I have made a bunny a carrot and a wolf move. Now I have to get a pizza to move but know matter how hard I try I just can't get it. Wish me luck.

My first flash scene

My first flash scene was fun to make. It shows just a few of the things that you should prevent your animal from being around. Like wires which will choke an animal and waste that can cause an animal health issues if there is to much ingested. In this part your suposed to pick up the waste and put the wires and computer inside the trash can and put the lid on the trash can. I used mostly the circles and rectangles to create my dog. I used lines to create the lines on my fence and on my trash can. It took me probably one hour in all to create this scene. The sun and everthing else was colored with the paint bucket. I also zoomed in to add details.

Why am I passionate about my social issue.

I am passionate about my social issue because ever since I have gotten a puppy all I have wanted to do is help make this world safer for animals.Animals get abused everyday by people who must have a heart made of coal. Animal testing is also a big issue in U.S the people who use the animals for testing usually huanily uthinize the animals after testing. I dont understand how people could do such a thing so my game is going to show people how to treat animals right and how to keep them safe at your own house. When I got my dog hes was sick to the point where if we wouldn't have bought him from the owner he would be dead by now he had kennel cough and diaria. Since that day he still wakes up coughing some nights and hes scared to be alone when he sleeps at night or any other time. He's fine now sick wise but remember animals have rights so don't abuse that right. The links I put in this paragraph will help me in the making of my game because they have alot on them about my topic. They give definitions, stories, and pictures. These links tell me exactly what I need to know.

Play to learn

Playing to learn is fun but educational. Its games that kids make to help you learn. There are alot of steps and you have to be dedicated. My favorite game is Vet game. You do math problems to save animals from bad situations. All the characters are hand drawn. I've been told its very complicated. The games get harder and harder as the levels go up, which is a know brainer. There are all differant games not only about animals theres water, cars, and more. My game will have to do with animal safty  and will have to do with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers. The levels will get alot harder but  in the end you'll be happy you'll know more about indegers and you'll know how to keep things safer for you pets.

internet saftey

Internet safety is very important. You have to be careful what you post or say on the web because sometimes you can't get rid of it. If your not careful you could also download a virus.  Don't talk to people you don't know because it could be someone who could trick you and get your address and come to your house and could do anything.  Also don't post person information for the same reason. Also don't post anything about friends either without their permission.

My math consept and social issue.

I chose my social issue to be pet saftey because my dream is to grow up to be a vet. I want to teach people the best way to keep their pets safe from wires, small things that can choke animals, etc. This game also has to do with how to take care of an animal. My math concept is multiplying, dividing, adding,and subtracting indegers. These will get harder as the game goes on. I chose this math concept because I personaly have trouble with these and I think using this in my game will help me and others learn alittle better and in a funner way how to do indegers.
